Don’t forget that this Sunday is the pinewood derby at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Severna Park. Thought it was best if I put up the email that went around, so everyone could read the information in case they needed it again. Also, found these great sites to help out with some tips and tricks. Car Modifications Not Allowed
The official pine wood block must be used. The block may be shaped in any way that is desired.

The axles may be altered, polished and lubricated.
Once a car passes inspection and is entered into the race, only race committee members can touch it. If the car loses a wheel, or is otherwise damaged, the racer shall have 5 minutes to make repairs.
Each car must pass inspection by the official inspection committee before it will be allowed to compete.
The Inspection Committee has the responsibility to disqualify those cars that do not meet these rules.
We will have a “Pit” table set up with drills and other tools to help modify the cars in any way to help them meet the above criteria.
There will be food sold by our pack at the derby.
We are going to have a bake sale with proceeds going to the Pack. We would appreciate your donation of baked goods, purchased or homemade, that are pre-portioned for the sale, (eg. 3 cookies in a ziplock). All items will be sold for $.50.
